Stan, you have absolutely made my day. I remember seeing the trailer for The Legend of Boggy Creek at the Jerry Lewis Cinema in Snellville. It scared the poo out of my eight-year old self. I bet you and I saw the trailer before another movie: There was a movie narrated by Peter Graves that dealt with Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Abominable Snowman. I also loved the X-Files, and, yes, that Home episode is a must see. Your Braves analysis was quite good.
